Couple Brought Their Two Sets Of Identical Twins To ‘The TODAY Show’ And Left Everyone Giggling

While some people struggle to have children, there are also those who get lucky in life and have as many children as they wish. For many couples, welcoming twins into their lives can certainly bring so much joy. Plus, their presence could make twice the fun happen at home at the same time, especially if they are identical twins.

While it is true that babies, especially twins, can bring so much joy to a family, would it still be the same sentiment if a young family would welcome another set of twins 13 months after the first set?

Parents Britney and Frankie Alba of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, are now dealing with that scenario after they brought their two sets of twins on the TODAY show, which sent everyone giggling, but also stressing about the chaos they might bring.

Levi and Luca, the first identical twin brothers, were born in July 2021. Not more than a year after the two kids were born, Britney had already informed her OB/GYN that she thought she might be pregnant again, TODAY.com reported.

Alas, they were right, and Britney gave birth to another set of twins, Lynlee and Lydia, in August 2022 – 13 months apart from their elder brothers.

“People gawk at us when we’re out in public. I used to get stopped all the time when it was just Luca and Levi — you know, people asking, ‘Are they, twins?’ Now it’s like a circus,” Alba told the outlet.

The new parents are actually equipped with dealing with the chaos that raising two sets of identical twins entails. Britney is a fourth-grade teacher, while Franki is a firefighter — what better jobs can prepare them if it weren’t those?

Five months since Britney gave birth to her beautiful female twins, they graced the TODAY studio for an interview on Feb. 23, 2023. While parents can only do so much in preparing their children for their first TV appearance, they weren’t expecting the kiddie chaos their older twins, Levi and Luca, would bring upon the show.

Despite the stress that having the twins has brought them, the couple remains grateful for the gift of life for their adorable children.

“A lot of times there’s definitely that ‘Oh, snap’ moment. ‘Oh, I’m by myself,’ but with each other and by the grace of God, we’re doing great,” Britney told the hosts as her twin daughters slept soundly in her arms.

While they were conducting the interview, the boys, Luca and Levi, wandered off the set, showing how hectic it is to tame two boys of the same age. “TODAY Show” host Shenielle Jones, who is also a mom of twins, rushed to the boys as they wandered during the interview.

Britney had to spend time in the hospital while she was 25 weeks pregnant because her twin daughters were Mo/Mo twins, which is a rare type of condition for fetuses that causes them to have the same placenta and amniotic sac while still in the womb.

But for the couple, no problem could be overcome without help and support from each other and the people around them. Britney successfully delivered the twins and has proved that it takes a “village” to raise children.

Britney’s co-workers have donated their sick days to be added to her maternity leave, and so did Frankie’s fellow firefighters.

“It was definitely shocking, but also, for us, it was round two. So, we’re like; we’ve never had just one baby, so let’s do it again,” Britney added.
